You can configure AppWave to allow a user to use an application with a concurrent or network named license when the user is not connected to AppWave .

Configure Offline Use for Concurrent Licenses

Follow the procedure described in Assigning Concurrent Licenses to Users or Assigning Network Named Licenses to Users ensuring that Permissions is set to Allow and the Offline Usage duration is specified. The user must set the application in offine mode from within the App. The following are the user instructions:

  1. Download the application using AppWave Browser to your local repository. This happens automatically when you run the application.
  2. Run the App. The App must be launched and then set for offline usage by selecting the license from the option available in the Help menu of the Embarcadero application, such as Checkin License/Checkout License.
  3. You can continue to use the App offline for the time specified by the administrator. You can quit and relaunch the App without needing to connect to AppWave for a license for the Offline Usage duration period specified.

Configure Offline Use for Network Named Licenses

For Embarcadero apps only: follow the procedure described in Assigning Network Named Licenses to Users , ensuring that the Offline Usage duration is greater than zero (0) days. The following are the user instructions:

  1. Download the application using AppWave Browser to your local repository. This happens automatically when you run the application.
  2. Create a bookmark for the App so the App can be seen from the browser when not connected to AppWave .
  3. Run the App. The Network Named license is automatically checked out when you run the App.
  4. You can continue to use the App offline for the time specified by the administrator. You can quit and relaunch the App without needing to connect to AppWave for a license for the Offline Usage duration period specified.
