SCCM:Create and Update Distribution Points

To create and update a distribution point:
- In the Configuration Manager Console, expand Computer Management > Software Distribution > Packages and then expand the package we created in the first step of this process, #Create the Application Package
- Right-click Distribution Points and then choose New Distribution Points.
- On the General page of the New Distribution Points Wizard, click Next.
- On the Copy Package page, select your SCCM server from the list of Distribution Points and then click Next.
- On the Confirmation page, click Close.
- In the AppWave Browser package in the Configuration Manager Console tree, right-click Distribution Points. Choose Update Distribution Points and then when prompted to update the distribution points, click Yes.
- OPTIONAL To accelerate distribution of the advertisements, you can initiate the Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle and the User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle actions. You can initiate these Actions on the Control Panel > Configuration Manager Properties > Actions page of the client computers.
