Go Up to Available object actions by DBMS

This action issues a DBMS-specific command (KILL or ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION, for example) required to terminate a blocking lock, lock, or process. The following table shows the DBMS platform and object types for which the Kill action is available:

To kill a blocking lock, lock, or process

  1. In the Navigator/Explorer, expand the Performance node and then select the Blocking Locks, Locks, or Processes node.
  2. In the Navigator/Explorer, right click a blocking lock, lock, or process and select Kill from the context menu.
  3. When prompted to verify, click Yes.
