Go Up to Property Views

A workspace is a unit of storage used for any collection of data modeling projects in ER/Studio Business Architect. The application lets you only open and work with one workspace at a time, but you can collect any number of projects in a single workspace. You can edit the properties of a workspace.

Opening the Workspace Properties

1 Right-click the workspace node name in the Model View tree.
2 Select Properties and the Workspace Properties dialog for the selected workspace opens.

The table below describes the Property View fields available for Workspaces:

Property View Description

General

Name

Label that appears for a workspace both in the Model View tree and in the diagram.

Location

Displays the path for the workspace.

ER/Studio BA Version

Displays the version of ER/Studio Business Architect.

Description

A text box where you can enter information describing or defining the project. Right-click text to open a shortcut menu. You can cut, copy, paste, and delete selected text within the Description text box. You can paste plain text from external applications.   You can undo any action and you can select all text by pressing Ctrl+A.   The following formatting options are available for the text: Bold, Italics, Underscore, and Strikethrough. You can also change the font color as well as the background color.

Notes
