Go Up to Tools Options Index
Tools > Options > Formatter
Use this page to customize the behavior of the Formatter for source code. For detailed descriptions of the individual options on this page, see the help frame that is part of the live dialog box in the IDE.
Each option has its separate detailed description in the Options dialog box. Select an option, and its description will be displayed in the lower right pane of the Options dialog box.
The source code Formatter uses the Indentation, Spaces, Line breaks, and Capitalization groups of options. Use the Delphi and C++ pages to specify separate sets of formatting options for Delphi or C++.
The source code Formatter uses the
Use tab character,
Block indent, and
Tab stops options
that are defined in the Source Options page (Editor Options > Source Options) of the Options dialog box. To set these options for Delphi code you need to use the
Pascal variant for the Source file type option and to set these options for C++ code you need to use the
C/C++ variant for the Source file type option.
