This is a special template that allows you to use the ‘|’ character within a template.

For example:

  • {{Menu|Start | All Programs}} renders as Start , because “All Programs” is read as a second parameter (and this specific template does not expect more than one parameter).
  • {{Menu|Start {{!}} All Programs}} renders as Start | All Programs.
