You can use the IDE Insight incremental search box to find items of all types (such as menu commands, project options, components, and so forth).

To perform an IDE Insight search

  1. Do either of the following to focus the IDE Insight search box:
    • Click the search box.
    • Choose Search > IDE Insight
    • Press either F6 or Ctrl+. (period).
  2. Start typing the name of the item into the search box. You only need to type as much of the name as required for the IDE Insight pop-up window to display a match for the item you seek.
  3. To invoke or open a matching item displayed on the pop-up window, whether it is a command, a dialog box, a disk file, or any number of other potential items in the IDE, do either of the following:
    • Click the target item.
    • Navigate to the target item using the Up and Down arrow keys, and press Enter.
Tip: You can use the PageUp and PageDown keys as well to navigate to the first and last item respectively.
