Managing EMS Installations Data

The EMS Management Console application allows you to manage the EMS Installations data that is stored in your EMS Server. The Installations tab displays the stored information about registered devices in the EMS Server.

You can use the EMS Management Console application to update or delete the EMS Installations data. You can also create new EMS Channels to subscribe your registered devices and receive EMS Push Notification messages.

Updating the EMS Installations Data

Updating a Single EMS Installation

To update the data of an existing EMS Installation:

  1. Select the Installations tab.
  2. Double-click the selected EMS Installation.
    The Modify dialog box opens then.
  3. Add optional fields for the new EMS Installation.
    • Field Name. Custom field name for an EMS Installation.
      Note: If the Field Name contains blank characters, an error raises.
    • Field Value. Custom field value for an EMS Installation.
  4. Update the optional fields data for the EMS Installation.
  5. Subscribe the EMS Installation to an existing or new EMS Channel.
  6. Click the OK button to save your changes in the EMS Server.

Updating Data From Several EMS Installations at Once

To update the custom data from one or several EMS Installations at once:

  1. In the Installations tab, click the Edit button.
  2. Edit the custom fields values of the EMS Installation.
  3. Click the Update button to save your changes in the EMS Server. Click Cancel to discard all the changes.
  4. Click the Refresh button to retrieve the updated EMS Installation data from the EMS Server.

Deleting an EMS Installation

To delete one or several EMS Installations from the EMS Server:

  1. In the Installations tab, click the Edit button.
  2. Select the EMS Installation from the list.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Repeat the previous steps until you have deleted the desired EMS Installations.
  5. Click the Update or the Cancel button.
Note: Deleting an EMS Installation from the EMS Server does not require confirmation.

Creating EMS Channels

You can subscribe EMS Installations to existing EMS channels or you can create new channels. You can send EMS Push Notifications messages to all the subscribers (EMS Installations) of that EMS channel.

To create a new EMS Channel:

  1. Enter the channel's name in the Enter channel field in the Modify dialog box.
  2. Click the Plus button.
    The new EMS Channel is automatically added to the Channels to add list.
  3. Click the OK button to subscribe the EMS Installation to the Channels to add list.


To add a subscription of an EMS Installation to an existing EMS Channels. The existing EMS Channels appear in the Channels list:

  1. Open the Modify dialog box for a given EMS Installation.
  2. Double-click a channel in the Channels list.
    The EMS channel appears now in the Channels to add list.
  3. Click the OK button to subscribe the EMS Installation to the Channels to add list.


To remove a subscription of an EMS Installation from an EMS Channels:

  1. Open the Modify dialog box for a given EMS Installation.
  2. Double-click a channel in the Channels to add list.
    The EMS channel appears now in the Channels list.
  3. Click the OK button to unsubscribe the EMS Installation from the EMS Channel.
