Target Platforms

RAD Studio supports the following target platforms and associated frameworks:

• OSX32 - (Mac) hosts only FireMonkey development (Delphi and C++Builder).
• 32-bit Windows - hosts FireMonkey and VCL development (Delphi and C++Builder).
• 64-bit Windows - hosts FireMonkey and VCL development (Delphi and C++Builder).

You specify the target platform for your application by selecting one of these platforms from the Targets node of the Project Manager.

Other Cross-Platform Development

• DataSnap supports native-language development for mobile devices using special DataSnap connectors that we provide for:
  • iOS devices (iPod, iPhone, iPad):
    • Using the Objective-C iOS DataSnap proxy
    • Using the Free Pascal iOS DataSnap proxy
  • Windows 7 Phone using the C# Silverlight DataSnap proxy
  • Android using the Java Android DataSnap proxy
  • Blackberry using the Java BlackBerry DataSnap proxy
