Embarcadero Community Toolbar

Go Up to Toolbars

Go to View > Toolbars > Embarcadero Community to show or hide the toolbar. The Embarcadero Community toolbar appears on the right up corner on the IDE, by default.

This new toolbar allows you to easily access the Embarcadero Social Community.

Being logged into the community through the IDE has many advantages:

• Receive notifications for unread messages. A red badge on the Unread Messages icon announces the number of new messages.
• See the list of your unread community messages.
• Open your Inbox directly, from the IDE.
• An easy way to search for answers on the Questions and Answers section.
• Ask your questions to the community, directly from the IDE.
• Be informed about latest events.

Note: For some of the features you do not need to be logged in.

Community Toolbar Options

Icon	Action	Brief Description
	Unread Messages	Shows your unread messages when you are logged in.
	Upcoming Events	Shows the latest upcoming events.
	Questions & Answers	Shows the latest questions from the Questions & Answers section of the community.
	Community Login	Allows you to log in and log out.

Unread Messages

Click to see your unread messages. A notification badge shows the number of unread messages . The messages list is periodically synchronized.

To see the content of a specific message, click it, and the message opens on the browser. If there is no unread messages, No unread messages appears.

Click Open inbox and view more messages to access your inbox on the browser.

Note: If you are not logged in, the login dialog appears.

Upcoming Events

Click to see a list with the latest events. The upcoming events are periodically updated.

If you are interested on any event, just click the specific event to access the registration page.

Note: You do not need to be logged in to see the events.

Questions & Answers

Click to take a look to the latest question threads on the community. The questions and answers list is periodically synchronized.

To know more about a specific thread, just click it to access the section on a browser.

Note: You do not need to be logged in to see Questions & Answers.

Community Login

You need to be logged into the community to take full advantage of the Embarcadero Community toolbar.

Click to open the login dialog to introduce your user credentials. You can access the community using your EDN account.

Login Dialog Options

Option	Description
User Name	Your email address.
Password	Your password.
Log in	Click Log to enter to the community.
Forgot your Password?	Click this option in case you forget your password. Follow the steps to reset your password: Enter your account email address. A verification code is sent to you. Click Submit. Check the verification code on your email. Enter your Username and the Verification Code. Click Submit. Enter a new password. Click Submit.

Community Logout

Once you are logged in, your user name appears on the toolbar. Click it to log out.
