There are several ways in which you can collaborate, ranging from fixing documentation to contribute a whole set of new components, here are some resources you must be aware:

The first think you must do is to read the Component Writer's Guide, to get a general idea of how develop new components, the next thing you must do is to practice create your own ones, after that, checkout the Request for Features forum, because there you will find the features we are working on, you can also start to work on your own components and request them to be integrated into the library.
