VCL.InetWinSockets Sample

This Windows sockets sample is a package that installs the Web.Win.Sockets components in the Internet category on the Tool Palette.

Web.Win.Sockets was removed from the product, but you can see the documentation for Web.Win.Sockets on the XE5 docwiki:


You can find the InetWinSockets sample project at:

  • Start | Programs | Embarcadero RAD Studio Sydney | Samples and then navigate to Object Pascal\VCL\InetWinSockets
  • Subversion Repository:
    • You can find Delphi code samples in GitHub Repositories. Search by name into the samples repositories according to your RAD Studio version.


This sample consists of a package (.bpl) that you can install in RAD Studio. The package installs three Web.Win.Sockets components in the Tool Palette.

How to Use the Sample

  1. Navigate to Start | Programs | Embarcadero RAD Studio Sydney | Samples and open Object Pascal\VCL\InetWinSockets.dproj.
  2. Right-click the .bpl in the Project Manager.
  3. Click Install.
