Detail Description

Duplicate attribute warning options

Automatically create business attributes from business elements

You have two settings on how you want to handle the binding of business elements to business attributes: Prompt: A Binding Creation Warning dialog will always open prompting you for a decision on how to handle business attributes that already exist with the same name. Always: If a bound business attribute with the same already exists in the business entity, a new bound business attribute will always be created with a unique name. When this option is selected, the second preference is made available. The default setting is Prompt.

Create the new attribute with a unique name and bind it to the business element

This option is enabled if the “Always” preference is selected. Select it if you want all newly created attributes to have unique names and automatically bound to the business element.

Create the new attribute with a unique name but do not bind it to the business element

This option is enabled if the first preference is selected. Select it if you want all newly created attributes to have unique names, but do not want it automatically bound to the business element.

Display warning when attempting to bind a business element and domain to an attribute

You cannot bind both a Business Element and a Domain to an attribute. A warning dialog opens giving you an opportunity to resolve the conflict. You can deselect this option to hide this warning.
