Working with a Tie Frame - UML 2.0

This topic explains how to work with a tie frame.

To spread a frame to several lifelines:

1. In the diagram Tool Palette, choose the Tie Frame button.
2. Click the desired interaction use or combined fragment.
3. Drag-and-drop on the target lifeline.

Result: The frame expands to the target lifeline and is attached to it with a dot.
