Add New Diagram dialog box

Context menu > Add > Other Diagram

To open this dialog box, right-click in the Diagram View or right-click a project root or a namespace element in the Model View and choose Add > Other Diagram on the context menu. Alternatively, in the Diagram View or in the Model View (with the project root or a namespace element selected), you can use CTRL+SHIFT+D to open the dialog box.

The Add New Diagram dialog box creates new diagrams.

This dialog box displays the available types of diagrams that you can create in your project.

Control Description

Diagrams

The Diagrams pane lists the available UML diagram types. You can change the view of the UML diagram icons by pressing the Small Icons Small Icons or Large Icons Large Icons buttons. By default, the Diagrams pane uses large icons.

Name

Shows the name for the diagram to create. When you select a diagram type in the Diagrams pane, Add New Diagram uses this diagram type as the pattern for the diagram name shown in the Name field. You can edit this diagram name or enter another name for the diagram to create. The Model View and Diagram View will use this diagram name for the diagram.

Large Icons

The Large Icons button instructs to use the large icons to identify diagram types in the Diagrams pane. The default.

Small Icons

The Small Icons button instructs to use the small icons to identify diagram types in the Diagrams pane.

OK

Creates the new diagram of the selected type with the specified diagram name, opens it in the Diagram View, and closes the Add New Diagram dialog box.

Cancel

Discards all changes and closes the Add New Diagram dialog box.
