These directives are ignored by the compiler.
This is accurate, but I wonder if someone could infer (incorrectly) that the code between these directives is ignored by the compiler. Maybe it would be more precise to say, "These directives have no effect on compilation." Dkosinski 17:12, 28 April 2011 (PDT)
