Changing the Repository
Go Up to Administrator Guide
You can change the ER/Studio Repository that Embarcadero Connect is connected to using the Embarcadero Connect Configuration Manager.
- To open Embarcadero Connect Configuration Manager first you must stop the Embarcadero Connect service:
- From Windows, select Start > All Programs > Embarcadero Connect 3.0 > Configure Embarcadero Connect
- On the General tab, click Stop.
- Note: If the Stop button is disabled, Embarcadero Connect is not running.
- Open the Embarcadero Connect Configuration Manager.
- On the ER/Studio Repository tab change the ER/Studio Repository settings to the new location.
- On the Host field, enter the new location of your ER/Studio Repository.
- On the Super User field, enter a username to log into the Repository server.
- On the Password field, enter the password of the Super User account.
- Note: If your Repository DBMS is not located on your ER/Studio Repository server, you may not need to change the Repository DBMS - Microsoft SQL Server settings. However if your ER/Studio Repository and databases were all hosted on the same server, you may need to restore/move your databases to the new server and chose Reconnect to existing database during ER/Studio Repository installation.
- Click Apply to save your server connection settings.
- Click OK to close the Embarcadero Connect Configuration Manager.
Tip: If you have connection problems, verify you have access through the firewall to the hosts on the required ports.
Once the connection to the ER/Studio Repository is properly configured, you need to start the Embarcadero Connect service using the Configure Embarcadero Connect as described in Starting Embarcadero Connect. You may also need to change the ER/Studio Repository server details in the Repository Options of ER/Studio Business Architect or ER/Studio Data Architect.
