To log in to Embarcadero Connect you need a valid user account.

User accounts, as user roles, are not defined within Embarcadero Connect itself. To log in to Embarcadero Connect, you must use the credentials of a user account from one of the following sources:

ER/Studio Repository User Accounts

You can use any ER/Studio Repository user account to log in to Embarcadero Connect. Users and roles of ER/Studio Repository are synchronized with Embarcadero Connect.

Notes:
  • To log in to Embarcadero Connect with ER/Studio Repository user accounts, you must synchronize Embarcadero Connect with ER/Studio Repository first.
  • Users of Embarcadero Connect do not have to be users ER/Studio Data Architect or ER/Studio Business Architect. The licensing for Embarcadero Connect is separate from that of ER/Studio Data Architect and ER/Studio Business Architect.

LDAP User Accounts

If you install Embarcadero Connect with support for the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), users can log in to Embarcadero Connect using their domain username and password. To ensure security of domain passwords across the network, encryption should be enabled.

Embarcadero Connect assigns LDAP users the authenticated user role.
