Go Up to Microsoft SQL Server Object Editors

The Operators Editor lets you modify the definition of a SQL Agent operator.

To edit an operator

  1. Open an editor on the operator. For details, see Opening an Object Editor.
  2. Use the following table as a guide to understanding and modifying the settings on the tabs of this editor:
Tab Settings and tasks

Properties

This tab/panel lets you change the operator’s enabled/disabled status, modify contact information, and change the pager duty schedule. For details, see Jobs (SQL Server) - Properties.

Notifications

This tab lets you modify the set of SQL Agent alerts for which this operator will be notified. For details, see Operators (SQL Server) - Notifications.

DDL View

For details on using this tab, see Viewing the SQL/DDL for an Object.

3. When finished, you can submit your changes. For details, see Previewing and Submitting Object Editor Changes.
