Open (Logs and Error logs)

Go Up to Available object actions by DBMS

This action displays the contents of error logs or SQL Server Agent-specific log files.

Platform Availability

• SQL SVR

To display the contents of a log file

1. In the Navigator/Explorer, expand the Server node and if opening a SQL Server Agent log, expand the SQL Server Agent node.
2. In the Navigator/Explorer, select the Logs or Error Logs node.
3. In the Navigator/Explorer, right click an ierror log or log and select Open from the context menu.

The contents of the file are displayed in the right-hand pane.
