Optimize Tables
Go Up to [[Available object actions by DBMS{{#if:||{{{2}}}}}]]
You can issue an OPTIMIZE TABLE statement, reclaiming unused space and defragmenting the data file.
Platform Availability
To Optimize Table Storage
- Initiate an Optimize Tables action against one or more tables. For more information see Initiating an object operation.
- The Optimize Tables dialog opens.
- Use the following table as a guide to understanding and modifying settings in this wizard:
