Using the Help View

Go Up to Help View

When you click a topic in the Dynamic Help list, that topic opens in the view. The Help View Toolbar that appears at the top of the view helps you navigate the available information. You also have additional command icons that appear at the bottom of the view.

Help View Toolbar

When you open the Help View, the following commands appear in the toolbar:

Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Show in External Window	Opens the currently displayed Help topic in an external window. When you open this window, two additional icons appear in the toolbar: Show in Table of Contents: Click Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination and the name of the topic displayed in the window is highlighted in the table of contents.   Print: Click Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination and the Print dialog opens allowing you to print the currently displayed topic.
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Show in All Topics	Displays the table of contents with the current Help topic highlighted.
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Bookmark Document	Click this icon to bookmark the current Help topic. The bookmarked topics are displayed when you click the Bookmarks icon in the Go To section.
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Back	Click this icon to return to the view that was displayed immediately prior to the current display.
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Forward	This command displays the view that was displayed immediately after the current display. This command is similar to the Forward button in an HTML browser.

Help View Go To Icons

In addition to the Help View toolbar, additional icons are displayed at the bottom of the Help View. The table below displays and explains each icon.

Toolbar Icon	Element	Description
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	All Topics/Related Topics	This is a toggle command. When you select All Topics, a table of contents opens displaying all topics. The command now available is Related Topics. This switches the view back to the Dynamic Help view.
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Search	Opens the Search dialog where you can enter a search expression to search the online Help topics. When the Results of the search are displayed, each displays icons allowing you to open a link in the Help window (Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination) and/or bookmark (Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination) the Result.   Two additional icons appear in the Search dialog: Show Result Categories: This is a toggle icon Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination that hides or displays the main help category headings. Show Result Descriptions: This is a toggle icon Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination that hides or displays the description containing the search expression.
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Related Topics	Displays all the topics related to the currently displayed topic in the Help view.
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination	Bookmarks	Displays a list of all the Help topics that you have bookmarked. You can click on any listed item to display that topic.
