Creating an Element in the Model View Tree

Go Up to Session 3: Creating a Business Process Model Diagram (Evaluation Guide)

You can create an element in the Model View from any pool or lane node. A diagram is not required to create elements.

1 Right-click the Order Picking Lane node that is a subnode of the Order Picking Pool in the Model View tree.

2 Select New. A shortcut menu opens containing the BPMN elements.

3 Select the element you want to create in the Model View tree. In this case select the End Event element (Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination). Notice that the element is placed in the Model View tree but does not appear in the diagram.

4 Once you create the element in the Model View tree, drag it on to the Diagram View and place it to the right of the task labeled “Confirm OrderPull”.
