Using the Model View Tree

Go Up to Session 2: Understanding the EA/Studio Infrastructure

The Model View tree displays the hierarchy of workspaces, projects, models, diagrams, and objects. It also displays the hierarchy of reference elements. In the next step of this evaluation guide, we are going to create a new project that will be nested in an existing project.

1 Right-click the Workspace node labeled “Acme Company” in the Model View tree.

2 Select New>Project from the shortcut menu.

3 In the New Project dialog, enter the new project name Compliance Reinstatement Project Part Two.

4 In the Select where you want to create the project text box, click Compliance Reinstatement Project.

5 Click OK and the newly-created project is placed in the Model View tree nested under the Compliance Reinstatement Project node.
