The preferences in this section set default values for metadata objects. You can set these values for Attributes, Business Attributes, Business Elements, Columns, and Domains.

Attributes

The table below describes the preference available for the Attributes node:

Detail Description

Data Type

Select the default value you want to always appear for Attributes. You can select: None, Binary, Boolean, Char, Date, Decimal, Float, Integer, Long Binary, Money, Timestamp, Varchar, and XML.

Width

Set the default length of the attribute/domain datatype.

Scale

Set the default number of digits after a decimal (for those data types that imply a decimal.

Business Attributes

The table below describes the preference available for the Business Attributes node:

Select the optionality you want to always appear for Domains. Your choices are: None, Mandatory, or Optional.
