The Watch List allows you to manage the watches you use when debugging you application. It is available in the Debug view.

Multi-value Variables

Objects and arrays contain multiple values. To see them all, you can click on the + button of the watch entry.

Usage

Copy

To copy the value of a watch, right-click the watch on the list and select Copy Watch Value.

To copy the variable name of a watch, right-click the watch on the list and select Copy Watch Name.

Manage Single Watches

To add a watch:

  1. Right-click on the list of watches.
  2. Select Add Watch.
  3. Setup its properties as you wish.
  4. Click OK.

To edit a watch:

  1. Right-click the watch on the list.
  2. Select Edit Watch….
  3. Change its properties as you wish.
  4. Click OK.

To disable a watch, right-click the watch on the list and select Disable Watch. To enable it back, right-click it and select Enable Watch instead.

To remove a watch, right-click the watch on the list and select Delete Watch.

Manage All Watches

To disable all watches, right-click the list and select Disable All Watches. To enable them all, right-click the list and select Enable All Watches instead.

To remove all watches, right-click the list and select Delete All Watches.

Manage Groups

You can organize watches in groups, and display only the watches on one group at a time. Available groups are listed as tabs on the bottom of the Watch List, and you can use those tabs to select the group of watches you want to display at a given moment.

To create a group of watches, right-click the list, select Add Group…, enter a name for the group and click OK.

To delete a group, go to its tab, right-click the list and select Delete Group.

When you add a watch to the Watch List, it is always added to the current active group of watches. If you want to move a watch from a group to another, right-click that watch, select Move Watch To Group, and click on the target group.
