Description
Registers a remote data module so that clients can access it using a Socket connection.
When working in Delphi, the Remote Data Module Wizard automatically adds a call to EnableSocketTransport to the overridden UpdateRegistry method of the new remote data module class. This adds the registry entries that Scktsrvr.exe uses to check whether clients can access the application server. The registry entries are removed by a call to DisableSocketTransport (also added to UpdateRegistry).
To make an application server unavailable to Socket-based connections, remove these two calls from UpdateRegistry. The application server can still receive requests over connections formed using other protocols.
ClassID is the class ID of the remote data module. This value is passed as a parameter to the UpdateRegistry method that calls EnableSocketTransport.
