Changing the Type of an Association Link

Association links can have the association, aggregation, or composition type. You can interchange these types of links using the following procedures.

To change a link type using the Object Inspector

1. Choose View > Object Inspector to open the Object Inspector.
2. In the Diagram View, select an association link on the diagram. The properties for the link appear in the Object Inspector.
3. In the Object Inspector, select the Type property.
4. Click the drop-down arrow and select the appropriate link type from the list. Available choices are: association, aggregation, and composition.

To change a link type using the context menu

1. In the Diagram View, right-click an association link on the diagram.
2. Choose Link Type on the context menu. Chose one of the available Association, Aggregation, and Composition types to set the link type.
