Apple Application Entitlement File (*.entitlements)

When you deploy a project for an Apple platform (OS X or iOS), RAD Studio generates an Apple application entitlement file. This file is necessary to generate the bundle of your application.

Apple application entitlement files define a set of specific capabilities or security permissions required by your application on Apple platforms. Its content is generated based on your project's configuration.

When you deploy your project, your Apple application entitlement file is generated by default as <project>.entitlements into the following folder:

  • In packages:
    Note: You do not need an Apple application entitlement file for packages.
    • For Delphi: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\18.0\Bpl\<platform>
    • For C++:
      • C:\Users\Public\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\18.0\Bpl\<platform>\<build configuration>
      • C:\Users\Public\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\18.0\DCP\<platform>\<build configuration>
  • In other projects: C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\<project>\<platform>\<build configuration>
