Tools > Options > Kai > MCP Servers

With this option, you can configure additional MCP servers for Kai.

MCP servers can provide external tools and integrations that extend Kai functionality.

MCP Servers Options

The following options are available in MCP Servers:

Item Description

Servers

Displays the list of configured MCP servers.

Add

Adds a new MCP server configuration.

Remove

Removes the selected MCP server configuration.

Properties

Contains settings for the selected MCP server.

Name

Field to specify the MCP server name.

Type

Specify the MCP server type. Choose between Local, Remote, or Remote (SSE).

Start command

Specifies the command used to start the MCP server.

URL

Specify the URL address for the remote MCP server.

Tools

Displays the tools available for the selected MCP server.

Add

Adds a tool to the selected MCP server.

Remove

Removes the selected tool from the MCP server.

Headers

Define Headers for a remote MCP Server.

Key

Specifies the environment variable name.

Value

Specifies the environment variable value.

Environment variables

Defines environment variables used by the MCP server.

Key

Specifies the environment variable name.

Value

Specifies the environment variable value.

Arguments

Displays the command-line arguments used by the MCP server.

Add

Adds a command-line argument.

Remove

Removes the selected command-line argument.


Kai can use configured MCP servers to access additional tools and services.
