Go Up to Available object actions by DBMS

The Resize dialog lets you dynamically increase the size of database devices without having to add and configure additional database devices.

Platform Availability

To Resize a Database Device by a Specified Number of Pages

  1. Initiate a Resize action against one or more database devices. For more information see Initiating an object operation.
  2. Use the following table as a guide to understanding and modifying settings in the Resize wizard:

Action Options

Measurement Unit and Size

Lets you specify the amount, in pages, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, or terabytes, by which to increase the device size.

Preview

Preview the DDL generated for the operation and when ready, use the Schedule or Execute button to perform this action. For more information,see Preview.
