Contents
Obtain a Kai Trial License
A specific license is needed to use Kai features. This is a separate license from RAD Studio, Delphi, or C++. Users with an existing RAD Studio, Delphi, or C++Builder 12.0 or higher license can request a 30-day free trial key. To do so, visit the BOGO redemption page and enter your existing RAD Studio key to obtain a Kai trial key.
Users who do not have RAD Studio 13.1 installed, requesting a RAD Studio 13.1 trial includes a license for Kai out of the box.
Buy a Kai Subscription
Users can buy a Kai subscription along with a new RAD Studio, Delphi, or C++Builder license, either by selecting the option in the online shop or by contacting sales when purchasing a new license.
For users with an active subscription, contact sales and request a new Kai license.
Users with an existing RAD Studio license but no active subscription must contact sales to activate the subscription and acquire the Kai subscription.
Once a user acquires a Kai subscription, the user will receive an email with the license key.
Register the Kai License
Once a user acquires a trial or a subscription license key for Kai, the next step is to register it. To register the new license, navigate to the bin subfolder under the RAD Studio installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Embarcadero\Studio\37.0\bin) and start the LicenseManager.exe application.
Active License
Check if the license is registered and active by checking the RAD Studio splash screen. The Kai widget indicates if the license is active, not found, or expired.
For active licenses, users can set and customize the Kai configuration in RAD Studio by navigating to Tools > Options > Kai.
