The Modeling extends the Tool Palette by adding UML modeling elements.

When a UML diagram is shown in the Diagram View, the Tool Palette displays icons corresponding to modeling elements available for this diagram. These icons identify commands that can be used to create corresponding modeling elements on the diagram open in the Diagram View.

For descriptions of available UML elements, refer to the Diagram Elements topics for each type of UML diagrams in the Reference of UML 1.5 Diagram Types and Reference of UML 2.0 Diagram Types, for example UML 1.5 Class Diagram Elements, UML 2.0 Class Diagram Elements, UML 1.5 Use Case Diagram Elements, and UML 2.0 Use Case Diagram Elements.

Tip: You can control the diagram elements that appear in the Tool Palette and create your own Tool Palette tabs with specified items. You can cut, copy, paste, delete, rename, move up, and move down Tool Palette items to customize your Tool Palette view. Use the Tool Palette's context menu to accomplish such tasks.

For detailed descriptions of Tool Palette's context menu and other functionalities, see the main help on Tool Palette.
