Databases Editor (IBM DB2 LUW)

Go Up to IBM DB2 for Linux, Unix, and Windows Object Editors

The Databases Editor lets you manage database tablespace placement details and modify configuration parameters for the database.

To edit a database

  1. Open an editor on the database. For details, see Opening an Object Editor.
  2. Use the following table as a guide to understanding and modifying the settings on the tabs of this editor:

Placement

Select a tablespace and click the Edit button to open an object editor on that tablespace. For more information, see Tablespaces Editor (IBM DB2 LUW).

Options

Lets you modify the DB2 Database Manager configuration file parameters for the database. Select a parameter and click the Edit button to open a dialog that lets you change the current value. NOTE: To set database options for all future databases, set the database options on the model database.

DDL

3. When finished, you can submit your changes. For details, see Previewing and Submitting Object Editor Changes.
