Changes
Installation
- InterBase installer now uses InstallAnywhere 2024.
- Java JRE has been replaced with Eclipse Temurin OpenJDK JRE 21.0.6.
- On Linux 32-bit, InterBase Server Edition no longer embeds a JRE VM. The installer needs to run on a 32-bit system with an external JVM.
- The Windows 32-bit InterBase server installer now includes the 64-bit version of OpenJDK JRE, assuming you're installing the 32-bit version of InterBase on a 64-bit version of the operating system.
- InterBase 2020 Update 7 includes enhancements for performing silent installs of the patch/update installer on Windows. See Installation,_Registration,_and_Licensing_Information#Running_the_Update_Installer_in_Silent_Mode for further details.
