SCCM:Create the Application Package

Go Up to AppWave Infrastructure Integration

To create an application package with the AppWave browser follow the steps:

1. In the Configuration Manager Console, expand Site Database > Computer Management > Software Distribution.
2. Right-click Packages and select New > Package.
3. On the General page of the New Package Wizard, complete the package properties as you want and click Next.
4. On the Data Source page, select This package contains source files.
5. In the Source Version area, click Set and specify the directory where the AppWave Browser installer is located and then click OK.

   Note: This directory containing the AppWave Browser installer must be shared over the network.

6. Ensure Always obtain files from the source directory is selected. Then click Next.
7. On the Data Access page, set the options as you want. Then click Next.
8. On the Distribution Settings page, click the Sending priority list and select High.Then click Next.
9. On the Reporting page, ensure Use package properties for status MIF matching is selected. Then click Next.
10. On the Security page, set the security rights for the package class and instance rights. Then click Next. Usually the Class security rights are set to Read, Modify, Delete, Distribute, and Advertise. The Instance security rights are usually set to Read, Modify, Delete, and Distribute.
11. On the Summary page, review the choices you have made and ensure they are correct. Then click Next. The package creation starts.
12. Click Next and the package creation starts. You will receive notification when the package is complete.
